How a YardSnaps design happens

From a free twenty-minute call to a drawing your contractor can price. Usually two to three days for a QuickSnap, one to two weeks for 3D and Blueprint work.

    Talk it through

    Start with the free 20-minute online consultation. We look at what you have, what is bothering you about it, and whether a design is even the right spend right now.

    We read the site

    For Metro Atlanta projects a designer comes out and analyses the space — sun, slope, drainage, what the house wants. Remote clients send photos and an address so we can work out the sunlight exposure.

    You see it first

    We build the design over a photograph of your actual yard, or as a 3D model you can walk around online. Not a mood board of somebody else’s garden — yours.

    Change your mind on screen

    Every package includes revisions. Moving a tree costs nothing at this stage. Moving a planted tree costs a weekend.

    Build it, or have us build it

    Take the plan and the plant list to your own contractor, shop it yourself with our help, or have YardSnaps install it.

What we need from you

A good photograph of the area to be designed — taken square-on, in decent light, showing the whole area plus a bit of context. A description of what the space needs to do: curb appeal, screening an ugly view, somewhere to sit, somewhere for the children. And the property address, because we use it to work out how much sun the space actually gets, which is what drives plant selection more than anything else.

What sun mapping actually changes

Plant labels say “full sun” and “partial shade”, and in Georgia those two categories cover very different realities. Knowing where your property sits and how the house shades it through the day is the difference between a border that thrives and one that gets replaced in year two.

What you get back

A full-colour digital design of your space. Depending on the package that is a photo-realistic overlay on your own photograph, a 3D model you can tour online, or a large-format 2D CAD plan with a hardscape plan, a planting plan and material lists. Add the itemised plant list and the nursery run becomes a shopping list.

Revisions, and why they are the point

QuickSnap includes two rounds. 3D Snaps includes three. Blueprint Snaps includes four. This is where the value sits — moving a tree on screen costs nothing, and moving a planted tree costs a weekend and a plant.

Then it is yours

Build it yourself. Hand it to your own contractor to price — the material lists exist precisely so a builder can quote it accurately. Or have us install it. We do not gate the drawing behind an install contract.

Questions people ask before they book

What exactly is photo-imaging?
We take a photograph of your actual yard and build the design on top of it — real plants, at the size they will be, in the position they will occupy. You are not looking at a picture of somebody else’s garden and imagining yours. You are looking at yours.
How much does a landscape design cost?
Our published prices start at $95. QuickSnap runs $95 to $170 depending on the size of the area, 3D Mini Snap is $250, 3D Snaps run $450 to $1,100, and Blueprint Snaps run $565 to $1,410. Add-ons are $25 for an itemised plant list and $45 for the labelled design option.
Do I have to use you to install it?
No. Plenty of clients take the plan and the plant list and build it themselves, or hand it to their own contractor — that is exactly what the documents are for. We do install, and we are happy to quote it, but the design stands on its own.
Do you work outside Metro Atlanta?
Yes. The design work is delivered digitally, so we can work with clients anywhere — one of our free-design winners was in Chicago. There is a 10% discount when a project is handled 100% remotely. On-site consultations, plant placement and installation are Metro Atlanta services.
How long does it take?
QuickSnap designs come back in two to three days. 3D Snaps and Blueprint Snaps take one to two weeks. Every package includes revisions and unlimited communication in between.
What do you need from me to start?
A good photograph of the area to be designed, a description of what you want it to do, and the property address — we use the address to work out sunlight exposure patterns, which drives plant selection. A phone number helps in case we have questions.
Is the on-site consultation fee wasted if I go ahead?
No. The cost of the consultation is deducted from the cost of any design package, with the exception of the Premier and Prime Landscape Snaps.
Can you help me buy the plants?
Yes, two ways. The itemised plant list turns the nursery run into a shopping list, and our Personal Retail Nursery Assistant will meet you at the garden centre to help choose, advise, and possibly load your vehicle.
