Privacy Policy
How YardSnaps collects, uses and protects the information you provide — including the property address and photographs used to produce your landscape design.
What we collect
We may collect your name and job title; contact information including your email address and phone number; demographic information such as postcode, preferences and interests; the property address of the space to be designed; photographs you send us of that space; and other information relevant to customer surveys or offers.
We ask for the property address for one specific reason: we use it to determine, approximately, how much sun the property gets, because sunlight exposure drives plant selection.
What we do with it
We require this information to understand your needs and provide a better service, specifically for internal record keeping, to improve our products and services, and to produce and deliver the design you have asked for. We may periodically send promotional emails about new products, special offers or other information we think you may find interesting, using the email address you provided. From time to time we may also contact you for market research purposes by email, phone or mail, and we may use the information to tailor the website to your interests.
Photographs of your property
Design work necessarily involves images of your property. We use them to produce your design. We do not publish a photograph of an identifiable client property in our gallery or on social media without permission. If you would rather your project never appeared publicly, say so at any point and it will not.
Security
We are committed to keeping your information secure. To prevent unauthorised access or disclosure we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard the information we collect online.
Cookies
A cookie is a small file placed on your device that helps analyse web traffic and lets a site respond to you as an individual. We may use traffic log cookies to identify which pages are being used, which helps us analyse data about web page traffic and improve the site. We only use that information for statistical analysis. A cookie gives us no access to your device and no information about you beyond the data you choose to share. You can accept or decline cookies — most browsers accept them automatically, but you can change that setting. Declining may stop parts of the site working as intended.
Links to other websites
This site may contain links to other websites of interest. Once you use a link to leave this site we have no control over that other website, so we cannot be responsible for the protection or privacy of any information you provide there. Exercise caution and read the privacy statement that applies to the site in question.
Controlling your personal information
Whenever you are asked to complete a form on this website, look for the box you can tick to indicate that you do not want the information used for direct marketing. If you have previously agreed to us using your personal information for direct marketing, you can change your mind at any time by writing to or emailing us.
We will not sell, distribute or lease your personal information to third parties unless we have your permission or are required by law to do so.
You may request details of the personal information we hold about you. If you believe any information we hold is incorrect or incomplete, please write to or email us as soon as possible and we will correct it promptly.
